Camden

by The Migraine Aura

supported by
Ben Harris

Ben Harris The titular single Camden is an uptempo glittering pop rock gem in the vein of Bloc Party, but with warmer tones and some crazy guitar solos. What's interesting about this release is that each of the three tracks boast a different vocalist, the second song I Don't Wanna Go To Work is a short but sweet bedroom punk piece, and the third and final track veers off into symphonic-electronic Björk-esque territory. This band has variety! Favorite track: Camden.

Camden 05:14
Always thought that we’d die together Through warmth and through the cold Always thought I’d walk you downtown Laughing drunk as you watch me grow old Never thought you’d wake up with nothing To think or feel or say All the splendors of our past Destroyed and thrown away And around the time you get there I should still be on my way Will you text me what you’re wearing so I can meet you at the gate If I don’t go down in flames Try and find a way to forget about you As fast as you forgot about me I don’t wanna sleep alone on a king size bed In a room where you were supposed to be Without you here there’s nothing to see Without you here there’s nothing to see Never thought I’d see the day where You’d abandon me Never thought that you’d lose interest In the vision that you claimed to see Never thought you’d lock the door and Throw away the key My stomachs turning upside down Across the Northern Sea Walk the streets alone at midnight Let the rain soak through my clothes Let the streetlights show the world the consequence of my mistakes Let everybody know Try and find a way to move on without you As easy as you moved on from me I don’t wanna drink alone at the World’s End Pub In a seat where you were supposed to be Without you here there’s nothing to see Is it the truth that you can’t handle Or is it the secrets that you keep I still keep looking for the answer Searching for solace, searching for meaning Try and find a way to forget about you As fast as you forgot about me I don’t wanna sleep alone on a king size bed In a room where you were supposed to be Without you here there’s nothing to see

I don’t wanna go to work I just wanna stay at home People just weren’t meant to live this way All the time I can’t get back Give myself a heart attack Feeling nauseous every single day And all the billionaires sit smiling on their thrones While the people that work for them just starve There are kids who still don’t have water to drink that’s clean But at least we’ll put a man on Mars I don’t wanna go to work I just wanna stay at home People just weren’t meant to live like this All the years and wasted time Headaches and the sleepless nights Making someone I’ve never met rich

Selfish 03:14
Would you even listen If I said the right thing Would you just insult me I have nothing left Gave you all I had You tell me I’m selfish Your words were so violent They hurt every day Do you sit back and laugh I know I’m a loser Angry and childish No different than you Please just forget me I’m so ashamed You should be too I’m so ashamed You should be too I’m so ashamed You should be too

about

The Migraine Aura Tacoma, Washington

☠️ The Migraine Aura is the brainchild of songwriter & composer A.J. Dudick.

Established in July of 2020 at the height of isolation, Dudick, as many other artists did, took the opportunity to begin creation of a psuedo collaborative effort.

In 2023, Dudick took over full time lead vocal duty ☠️
